Oblique aerial photograph taken by Leo Swan of an ecclesiastical complex in Rahan Demesne townland, Co Offaly, viewed from the N. The remains include two churches, a possible tower house, an Early Christian cross-slab, graveyard, and an ecclesiastical enclosure which survives in modern field boundaries from E through S to N. The Clodiagh River forms the boundary on the N side. Some of the cropmarks visible in Tullybeg townland, in the foreground, may correspond with old field boundaries marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch to the mile map.
